Hiking & Walking

Sibylle Dussy, Peter M. Geiser

Switzerland is one of the world's most famous hiking countries. The number of trails is enormous and the scenery is wonderful, ranging from wildly romantic, to awesome or postcard-like blue lakes. The difficulty of the paths varies. While some require the skills of mountain goats, others can be done with prams or wheel-chairs. In our own descriptions of walks/hikes you will find information on the difficulty of the terrain.

On all hikes, it is recommended to carry water (about 1.5 liters per person) and a snack with you, and to use sunscreen (high SPF).
