Peter M. Geiser (and Sibylle Dussy)

Cambodia has two international airports: Phnom Penh International Airport, also called Pochentong International Airport, and Siem Reap Angkor International Airport.

In former times, flying to/from and within Cambodia was something of a Russian roulette. (You have perhaps had the "we can't close the door, therefore let's tie the goat to a seat" experience yourself.)

Nowadays, Cambodia's domestic and international connections are served by a growing number of reputable, even acclaimed airlines, which means that you probably won't have to share the cabin with too many chickens and other livestock.

For up-to-date information on both airports, carriers, connections, destinations and formalities such as airport taxes, please visit the website below.

Should you consider to travel by airplane, please also refer to the general information on our transport page. For several years, travel recommendations have been to fly from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap and vice-versa, because of occasionally very difficult road conditions and the danger of ambushes.
