Hung Hom

Sibylle Dussy

Most tourists will only venture to Hung Hom to catch the KCR East railway, starting at Hung Hom station. From a residential point of view, parts of the area are quite nice with moderately high buildings and manageable streets.

As a whole, the district feels cut off from the rest of Kowloon Peninsula because of its bordering highways and rail tracks. Public transport connections, however, are excellent. There are lots of busses, and the Star Ferry maintains a direct line from Hung Hom to Hong Kong Island.
